Click on your league ranking at the top of the screen beside the countdown timer while in a battlefield and click on another active member in your league team. Select "Transfer position"-"Commander in Chief". Then you are free to quit battlefield.

If you are the only member left in the league team, you will need to quit your league first and then quit battlefield.
